Turkmenistan has reformed and developed the national healthcare system and given it the status of a multi-purpose system for the social protection of the population. In the state of Turkmenistan, large-scale work is being carried out to protect the health of our people. Our country's healthcare system, which meets world standards, is growing rapidly.

Urban and rural health homes have improved health care services based on the principle of family medicine. As a result of the successful implementation of the State Health Program, the health rate of citizens of all ages has decreased. To standardize the national health care system, to assess the quality of medical services, the treatment-diagnostic capacity of treatment and prevention centres, regulatory documents, as well as individual classifications of medical services following the level of hospitals, etc. developed and approved. Modern clinical descriptions of disease diagnosis and treatment in various fields of medicine have been developed.

Under the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Turkmenistan dated October 5, 2017 "On Improving Health Care Services for the Population", the norms for providing state health insurance for citizens and providing free health care to certain groups of the population were also regulated. A revised version of the Regulations on the Procedure for Contracting Voluntary Health Insurance has been developed and approved in coordination with the relevant ministries and departments.

Electronic document management has been established in the centres of prevention and treatment of our country. The natural-climatic, mud-healing, balneological resorts of our country are functioning effectively. They have all the conditions to restore the health and recreation of Turkmens and foreign citizens. More than 50 types of herbs and teas made from medicinal herbs growing in the Turkmen land have been put into practice. A total of more than 7 million manat worth of products of the Turkmendermansenagat Union plants were exported.

A consistent strategy for improving the health of the population is one of the important areas of public policy in the field of health care. Turkmenistan is one of the leading countries in the region in terms of vaccination and immunization coverage and is one of the first countries to implement immunization measures. Vaccine vaccinations are free in Turkmenistan.

Turkmenistan has been gradually or partially free from many types of diseases by implementing the Health Program in stages, implementing a strategy to improve the health of the population. To prevent iron deficiency diseases in the human body, Turkmenistan, along with foreign partners, is implementing several large-scale projects to enrich flour and salt with foodstuffs with iron. Every year, the number of vaccinations against influenza in our country increases.

The fight against diseases such as malaria, measles and rubella have been significantly strengthened. Turkmenistan has received an international certificate from the World Health Organization's European Regional Office on the elimination of measles and rubella. The country has set the lowest level in the history of TB control in the country. As a result of successful international cooperation in the prevention and prevention of the spread of HIV infection, Turkmenistan is one of the few countries that has not been infected with HIV and AIDS.

Effective July 1, 2017, the introduction of broad-spectrum antibiotics in-state pharmacies across the country has been launched based on doctor's prescriptions. This will allow the reduction of drug-resistant forms of diseases, and our citizens will have full access to the correct and appropriate use of medicines only based on doctor's advice and prescription.

The implementation of the Maternal and Child Health Program is an integral part of the health care system, which has been brought to the level of public policy. The successful implementation of the national program for the creation of highly equipped "Ene Mahri" centres in all parts of the country, the opening and active operation of the Scientific and Clinical Center for Maternal and Child Health, the breastfeeding and anaemia prevention program. happened. Since 2014, Turkmenistan has been on the path to preventing maternal mortality, reducing perinatal morbidity and mortality by implementing a regionalization program for perinatal care. The method of assessing the development of the child in the field of maternal and child health following international requirements has been introduced into practical medicine. As part of the implementation of the Breastfeeding Program, the rate of breastfeeding of the child at the national level increased to 92.8 per cent.

In 2017, Neonatal Screening was launched in the maternity wards of Turkmenistan's maternity wards to identify and effectively address prayer defects in infants. Experiments were exchanged with foreign experts on new methods of physical and ergotherapy in the field of early development and rehabilitation of children. Health Schools operate in all Health Homes, and algorithms have been developed and implemented for the prevention and treatment of non-communicable diseases. One of the priorities of our state policy is to reform the work of our country's health system because of the world's leading trends. Specific work is being done to strengthen its material and technical base, in particular by introducing modern medical equipment from the world's leading manufacturers.

As a result of the support of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, more than 15 agreements and treaties were signed in 2017 in conjunction with foreign healthcare institutions. By the requirements of the World Health Organization, a national model for the prevention and control of non-communicable diseases has been created in our country, and the population's explanatory work is carried out regularly in coordination with the data centre. The tasks set in the National Program for the Implementation of the World Health Organization Framework Convention on Tobacco Control in Turkmenistan for 2017-2021 are also being addressed regularly. The Government of Turkmenistan has also funded a project called "Implementation of the Ashgabat Declaration - Freeing the European Region from Tobacco Smoking."

The work of improving the system of training specialists has also continued, and science, education and training have made new strides. In the 2016-2017 academic year, a total of 323 students, including for the first time, graduated from the State Medical University of Turkmenistan with 20 young professionals from the Faculty of Sports Medicine.

To study the world experience in healthcare, 58 business trips were organized to various conferences, conferences, seminars and meetings held in about 30 foreign countries within the framework of bilateral intergovernmental agreements and United Nations agencies. . Over the past year, about 90 professors and eminent doctors from the Federal Republic of Germany, including more than 30 specialists, have come to our country from the SES (Senior Experten Service). Cooperation with this organization has become a form of fruitful cooperation of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan with its German counterparts.

To study the issues of establishing a special secondary school for the training of physiotherapists, the leading clinics of the Federal Republic of Germany, representatives of the Ministries of Health and Medical Industry, the Ministry of Education, experienced specialists, the University of Medical Sciences, the University of Medicine, the University of Medicine and I.Gandi. Three meetings of the group were held and relevant proposals were prepared.

In 2017, the Scientific and Clinical Center of Ophthalmology and the Dental Training and Production Center of the State Medical University, the Internal Medicine Hospital in Mary, Mary Province, were opened, in the residential complexes "Parashat 7" and "Koshi" in the capital, in the town of Nebitcili on the current street - Ankara Street. Three state-of-the-art health facilities (N14,15,16) have been built and operational. The 300-seat International Endocrinology and Surgical Center has also been opened in Ashgabat.

According to the national program, Artyk Rural Health House in Kaka District, Ahal Province, Dushak Specialized Medical Center for Disease Prevention, New Life in Ak Bugday District, Zahmet and Babadayhan in Tejen District, Garman Sandy in Balabatkan District, Sarahs District put into operation. Equipped with state-of-the-art and advanced medical, diagnostic, training and production facilities, these centres provide high-quality health care to our population.

In 2018, a 120-bed children's hospital in Mary, Mary province, a 200-bed Avaza sanatorium in Turkmenbashi, as well as a regional multidisciplinary hospital in Turkmenabat, Lebap province, were opened in accordance with the National Program.

Currently, the President is building modern sanatoriums in the town of Bagabat in Akbugday district of Ahal province and Garlick settlement in Koytendag district of Lebap province in the town of Garnarbaba, in the city of Ashgabat.
